Merkur of Solingen Futur Safety Razor - How To Change The Blade Guide
The Merkur Futur double edged safety razor was first patented in 1983 by the owenr of Merkur, Wolfgang Hannemann. Today the Futur is a sleek, modern double edged adjustable safety razor that allows you to alter the amount of razor blade exposed in the razor head.
Unlike many doulbe edged razors today, it features a snap-on top plate. So to change a blade you simply snap the top plate off, change the balde and then sanp the top plate back on.

Step 1. Hold the Futur safety razor firmly and push up the lid.
Step 2. Once loosened pull off the lid.
Step 3. Very carefully place blade between index finger and thumb and insert into the Razor.
Step 4. Once blade is seated in place, then push down the lid.
Step 5. Now adjust the Futur into the desired setting on the scale. Adjustable positons from 1-5 (we recommend starting with position 1)
